Children Master Neeraj and Master Himanshu, of KV ITBP Bhanu have been awarded ‘ Rajya Virta Purskar-2009’ by His Excellency, Governor of Haryana Sh. Jagan Nath Pahadia in a glittering function on Republic Day 2010 at Gurgaon. Both brothers have been awarded a Bravery Certificate & 5000/- cash each for their bravery .

The incident related to the morning of October 15, 2008 when these children were on the way to their home town with their mother and took a lift in a Quails Vehicle going to Haldwani. During the journey the driver and his accomplice, tried to rob them at Pistol point. Neeraj reacting promptly, hit the man on the arm and his pistol fell down. The man, then attacked Neeraj with a Dagger. Neeraj sustained injuries during the fight but continued fisting the man. During the scuffle, the driver lost control on the vehicle and it rammed into a shop. Hearing the cries of their mother, people assembled there and the miscreants escaped from the scene. One of them boarded a bus but Himanshu noted the number of the bus. The police was informed and they intercepted the bus and arrested the criminal. On detailed investigation, the police found that the robbers were members of a bigger gang operating in the region. Thus, the children, helped the police to arrest all the members of that gang.

These intrepid children not only saved their mother and themselves and helped the police in busting a gang of robbers but also brought laurels to KV, ITBP, Bhanu .The Principal, staff and students are proud of them. May they be the great sons of the soil!

06 students from VI to IX class participated in the ‘ Shlok Gayan Pratiyogita in  Sanskrit’  held at KV No.2 Chandimandir Cantt organized by  Sanskrit Academy Haryana. All the students got the consolation prize in the competition.

16 boys participants went for football match at KV No.2 chandimandir and stood 3rd

11 girls went for HandBall match to Kv No.1 chandimandir and stood 3rd, won bronze medal.

In the Regional S.Sc Exhibition-2009, one Project on “Origami (paper folding)” Prepared by Shobhit of Class IX is selected for national level Exhibition-2009 under the guidance of TGT(S.ST) Mrs. Neelam Sharma.

Gopal of class IX stood first in hndi debate at cluster level social science exhibition 2009.
